Our Therapy Professionals
Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation CenterCarey Sisson is our therapy coordinator and a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation. She has 10 years experience in outpatient physic al therapy, one year of home health experience and has worked for Harber Laman in skilled nursing since 2006. Carey is from Alamo. She and her family attend Northside United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN. Local and international missions are very important to her and her family.
Andrea is a Physical Therapist at Alamo and Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee in 1998. Her years of experience in the Physical Therapy profession have all been spent in the acute care and skilled nursing settings. Andrea is a lifelong resident of Crockett County and a valued member of our therapy team at both facilities.
Ashley Lowe is a Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), VitalStim Therapy certification and member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has worked for Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since October, 2009. Ashley is a graduate of Crockett County High School. She graduated from MTSU receiving her B.S. in Communication Disorders. She received her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Western Kentucky University in 2006, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She has experience in outpatient rehab with speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders in pediatric and geriatric patients. She has attended many continuing education courses in the areas of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Ashley also supervises other SLP’s to receive their CCC’s. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She began the Friends of Crockett County Homeless Animals facebook page to assist in the rescue of many homeless animals in the county. She is also very involved with Relay for Life and serves as a committee member. Ashley has two dogs, Sasha and Greg and a cat named Elvis.
Wendy is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is a 2001 graduate of Jackson State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. Wendy has been employed with Bells Nursing and Rehab Center since December of 2009 and resides in Trenton, TN. She is an asset to our rehabilitation department.
Georgianne has been with us as a Speech Language Pathologist at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Homan Ecology. Georgianne is certified in VitalStim Neuromuscular electrical stimulation for dysphagia. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Memphis with a Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. She resides in Dyersburg, TN. Georgianne has been with our Rehab department in Bells since September 2010.
Anna is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who has been with us since July of 2012. Anna is a Crockett County native, graduated from Crockett County High School in 2006 and went on to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin with a major in Exercise Science and Wellness. She graduated in May 2012 from the University of TN Health Science Center with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Upon graduation, she earned certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Inc. (NBCOT). Anna is an important member of our therapy team.
Candice is our therapy coordinator and has been our Staff Occupational Therapist at Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since 2012. Before Dyer, she had already worked as a therapist for Harber Laman and is still an important member of our therapy department at Humboldt Nursing and Rehab. She graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1999. Since then, she has worked in home health, orthopedics, pediatrics, and is now serving the geriatric community. Candice has two daughters, Macy and Taylor and lives in Milan, TN. She enjoys cooking, singing, playing with her children, arts and crafts, and traveling to the beach. She is also very active in her church.
Kristi is our Staff Physical Therapist at Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who has been with us since 2010. She is also a valued member of our therapy department at Humboldt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Kristi graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2000. Before joining our team, she worked in both hospital & home health settings. She is very passionate about geriatrics. Kristi is the daughter of Terry and Joyce Brown of Trenton and Missy McCall of Jackson. She resides in Rutherford, TN with her husband, Chad Greene, their daughter, Ryleigh, and son, Andrew. Kristi enjoys spending time with her family & friends as well as cooking, reading and Zumba.
Darla is our Staff Physical Therapy assistant at Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Before joining our team in 2010, she worked in the school system, nursing homes, outpatient therapy, and has performed aquatic therapy. Darla became a physical therapy assistant in 1999, and also has a degree in biology. She is married to Paul Tucker and has three children: two daughters named Abbey and Candace, and a son named Bryant. They live in Trenton, TN. Darla enjoys spending time with her children and teaching Sunday school to 1st-3rd grade students.
Humboldt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Teri Kapp, MS/CCC-SLP- is our therapy coordinator and is our speech language pathologist. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin and Master of Science in Communication Disorders/Speech Pathology from Tennessee State University. She has a broad field of work experience, including treating Speech, Language, Communication, and Swallowing disorders from pediatric to geriatric ages in various settings including schools, homes, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. She is a member of ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) and a member of the SIG (Special Interest Group)- Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. She is an active member of her community, and enjoys working with the residents/families here at Humboldt Nursing & Rehabilitation as the staff Speech Pathologist and Director of Rehabilitation.
Philip is a licensed PT assistant and has been a member of the Humboldt Nursing and Rehabilitation Therapy Team since November 2009. He has completed Associate of Applied Science degrees at Jackson State Community College in Respiratory Therapy (1990) and Physical Therapy (1997). Other education includes a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership (2005) and a Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership (2011) both from the University of Memphis. He has worked in various fields of practice including pediatrics, home health, geriatrics/nursing home outpatient, hospital based acute care/ cardiac rehab, in-house rehab and special need adults/children/school system. Also included is over three years of travel therapy with a concentration in the South Texas region. Professionally Philip is an active member of the National Board of Respiratory Care and the American Physical Therapy Association. In leisure he enjoys diggin for old bottles/artifacts, home aquariums, music, working out, cooking, nature, and toying with old Camaros. Philip is a life-long member of Parkburg Baptist Church in Pinson, TN.
