Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

bells-caregiver-of-the-yearCaregiver of the Year – Sandra Ervin

The 2016 Employee of the Year at Bells Nursing & Rehab Center goes to a lady that spends a lot of her time here in the facility taking care of residents.  She has put this facility and residents before her own family on numerous occasions, and also consider this her “home away from home.”  If she is needed, she is always here.  She began as a C.N.A. on the floor, then went on to be a Whirlpool Tech, and now has been promoted to “Jack of all trades.”  She cares for all of her fellow co-workers and considers them her family.  If she is asked to do anything, she does it willingly and with pride.

This lady is the type of person that thinks outside the box.  She is very creative, and has even gone as far as organizing port-a-potties in the dining room after the tornado had struck the nursing home.  She also traveled with our residents to other facilities when they had to be evacuated.

This lady assists in several projects such as making sure that supplies are ordered and stocked, briefs are sized correctly, helping with activities on the weekends, organizes the dining room daily, does the facility weighing, assisting with residents’ nails, and ultimately being Precious’ momma.

She has spent numerous hours devoted to this facility by often working 7 days a week.  This includes rain, sleet, or snow.

This staff member has been employed since I (Jennifer Brown, Director of Nursing) was in 8th grade.  She came to the company on May 14, 1990.  We are very proud to announce that the 2016 Employee of the Year is Sandra Ervin.
